Community

Welcome to the ONAP community. As an open source project, participation in ONAP is open to all, whether you are an employee of an LF Networking (LFN) member company or just passionate about network transformation. The best way to evaluate, learn, contribute, and influence the direction of the project is to participate. There are many ways for you to contribute to advancing the state of the art of network orchestration and automation.

Developers

Start on the ONAP Wiki and read the Joining the Technical Community page. Next, read up on projects of interest, review relevant presentations, and sign up for ONAP mailing lists. You can attend project calls and the regular TSC meetings.

Read the new Getting Started Guide. Read the latest release notes and get the code. Detailed developer documentation can be found here.

If you are an NFV developer interested in writing to the ONAP platform, be sure to read the Integrating with ONAP wiki section and review the documentation for VNF requirements and the VNFSDK.

Members

ONAP is a founding member of LF Networking (LFN), a new entity that increases collaboration and operational excellence across networking projects. LFN integrates the governance of participating projects in order to improve operational efficiencies and simplify member engagement. Each technical project retains its technical independence and project roadmaps. Learn more about LFN, and join as a member.

End Users

The End User perspective is extremely important in designing and delivering a platform that meets the needs of end user organizations. ONAP was founded by two leading end user organizations, in partnership with their leading suppliers, and end user organizations continue to be heavily represented within the ONAP membership. Collectively, ONAP end user members support over 70% of mobile subscribers around the globe.
